Issue Teams
Current Issue Teams include:
- FDA Issue Team — This group will tackle issues including
follow-on biologics, creation of the Reagan-Udall Foundation
and intellectual property.
- Access Issue Team — Members will address comparative
effectiveness (or evidence-based medicine) legislation and
proposals, and changes to the Medicare Modernization Act
and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Appropriations Issue Team — This team's focus will
include programs at NIH, CDC, FDA, DoD and Veterans Affairs,
as well as working on stem cell legislation.
Issue Teams are open to all Council members, but must be
chaired by a representative from a Voluntary Health Agency
member organization. Members may serve on more than one Issue
Team at a time.
